Huskee is a design company creating products and systems to help design out waste, sustainably. We refer to it as waste made beautiful, and have become a global leader in Refill/Reuse systems.

In 2017, our initial goal and mission was to design an elegant and appealing cup suited to the coffee industry, using coffee husk as the raw material.

In 2019, we launched our HuskeeSwap system, to enable businesses and individuals to more easily participate in Reuse, and eliminate single-use cups at scale.

What is a Reuse System?

A reuse system is one that is designed to make takeaway service in reusables as convenient and easy as possible; for both the business and its customers.

HuskeeSwap is a cup-exchange program that allows simple and elegant reuse with many benefits above traditional BYO behaviour. While there are several types of reuse systems and models on the market - Huskee have designed ours to reduce as many user barriers as possible to make reuse enjoyable.

The reality is single-use cups cost a business and the planet a lot. No matter the material, single-use is always single-use. Many studies have shown that Reuse always Wins, and why we have designed a system to help make Reuse the default of how coffee is served.

Here's how HuskeeSwap Works

HuskeeSwap is a unique Opt-In, Low-Tech Purchase model. At its core, all you need is a cup to Swap. It is designed to be convenient and accessible to use by both businesses and customers.

All a customer needs to participate is a HuskeeCup.

The customer hands over their HuskeeCup while ordering their favourite drink.

Customers receive their drink in a freshly cleaned HuskeeCup. Customers can even Swap for any size, with universal lids.

The system is supported by the HuskeeSwap App to increase the convenience of Reuse. Some common usage examples are when a customer forgets their cup, or doesn't want to carry it around all day. That's where great features like BORROW, STORE, LOYALTY (and more) come in handy!
